This is a first person game-like simulation where players take on the role of an undergraduate who wants to join a research lab. It is appropriate for high school, college or life-long learners.  Playtime: approx. 20 min.

The simulation starts at an “open house” grad lounge, you are checking the grad students out, but they are also quizzing you to decide if they will accept you into the lab.

You will answer a series of multiple-choice and open-ended questions and your data will be saved.

There is an Impressometer that shows what the graduate students think of you as you work through the 20 to 30 minute long simulation. The simulation is a variation of a classic experiment conducted on how people who are blind navigate through novel rooms (Supa, Cotzin, & Dallenbach, 1944).

All user-generated content is saved so teachers can look at everything (about 50 variables) including a cumulative score, based primarily on answers to the 18 multiple choice questions embedded in the simulation. You can choose how much you want to see.
